SUSTAINABILITY: Seascape
will be a self-sustainable and environmentally safe habitat.
The emphasis on building a structure that will work with the
environment will set an example for the rest of the world to follow.
It will be a project that will pave the road for large-scale
development for years to come. Seascape
will be powered by alternative energy. Over six million square feet of
photovoltaic cells will be affixed to the sail, the roofs of park
structures, and thousands of condo decks.
These cells will feed electrical energy to battery storage
centers for distribution to all residential and commercial users.
Large
desalination stations in the hull will provide fresh water, recycled
wastewater will be used for irrigation necessary for hydroponics food
growing. Wind
turbines will supplement energy production.
Built into the hull structure are hydro turbines which will be
encased in the twelve million square feet of the hull bottom. Air
vortexes and thermal differentials will result from the heated air of
the green houses atop the habitations.
The endeavor to build the first sizable sustainable environment by utilizing all the greenest technology available will be unprecedented. Seascape and it’s builders and designers will create an environment for healthy living truly worthy of the best community planning has to offer and one that will remain an example for future generations. |
